About Rumbi Bvunzawabaya.
Rumbidzai Bvunzawabaya was born in Zimbabwe and lived there for the majority of her youth. She is a wife to Muchada and has been married for 26 years. They have 3 children Tino 26, Tani 20, and Tasha 18. Rumbidzai is a Christian who believes in living out her faith in her day-to-day life. She runs a Christian Ministry which is interdenominational called Freedom Ministry International. Freedom is a kingdom-focused ministry designed to help you become truly free in Christ. It aims to help people identify the things that hinder one's growth and stop them from being free.
She is an alumna of The University of Zimbabwe where she studied Law. She was admitted to Zimbabwe as a Legal Practitioner and Notary Public in 1998. In 2003 she was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and has over 24 years of experience in law.
Her heart is in seeing people’s lives changed and their hearts mended. In (2007) Rumbi opened an international family and immigration law firm-RBM Solicitors LTD. RBM solicitors impacted many lives at the time especially of many Zimbabweans who sought legal advice. She then decided to sell the firm due to lifestyle choices and to enable her to pursue her passion for providing holistic support to Migrants.
She set up and founded Tulia Group Community Interest Company. Tulia offers expert legal advice and support to migrants from all walks of life and is excited to be expanding their services, training and capacity-building programmes; especially so that organizations can continue to respond positively to the needs of the people who have migrated.
On top of her legal work, she is a philanthropist. She is a trustee for Tugwi Trust a charity supporting ten schools in the Chivi District in Masvingo. Furthermore, she sponsors several children under Tugwi Trust one of which is going to study Law at University of Zimbabwe.
Rumbidzai is also a Director of Guardian Ballers CIC .Guardian Ballers is a service that aims to facilitate opportunities through the medium of basketball and educational mental health and wellbeing sessions for children and young people to consider how they can Ball, Be and make their community Better.
Rumbi is also an author of two books, ‘Girl in the Mirror’ and ‘Planted.’ ‘Girl in the Mirror’ is an autobiographical book that explains her past trauma and hurt and how Jesus has helped and transformed her. ‘Planted’ is a book that aims to identify and uproot negative patterns and be replanted in the love of Christ.
She is currently working on another book called Kicking off the heels in the Kitchen which explores the journey of being a professional woman and high achiever yet maintaining feminity womanhood and balancing the roles of professional wife and mother.
Rumbi is a multi-award winner having won
Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (2011),
Zimbabwe Women International Awards 2013 and 2014 and is a Women on the Move Nominee.
